Humera Fasihuddin, Chief Dreamer
(aka Senior Program Officer, University Innovation Fellows, Epicenter/VentureWell)
Humera manages the University Innovation Fellows Program, a key initiative of the Epicenter and a joint-venture between Stanford University and VentureWell (formerly NCIIA). In it, she trains students to create lasting institutional impact that enhances the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus. While at VentureWell, she led the creation of numerous program including the organization’s first foray in advanced venture training workshops, which today account for over half of the 501c(3)’s income.
Prior to VentureWell, Humera created innovation networks between industry and the University of Massachusetts Amherst under an NSF Partnership for Innovation grant. Humera began her career at the publicly-traded UK firm Rexam, serving as product manager in their precision coated materials subsidiary. Leticia Britos Cavagnaro, Director of Imagination
(aka Deputy Director, Epicenter/Stanford University)
Leticia is adjunct faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Stanford, and she teaches creativity, innovation and design thinking at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school). Leticia holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Stanford University’s School of Medicine.
She is a former member of the REDlab (Research in Education & Design – Stanford School of Education), where she explored how design thinking impacts learning in K-12 environments and higher education. She co-founded the design consultancy Lime Design Associates to bring design thinking to schools, non-profits and companies, as a means to catalyze 21st century learning skills and innovation.

Katie Dzugan, Fruitionist
(aka Program Associate, University Innovation Fellows, Epicenter/VentureWell)
Katie works alongside Humera on the University Innovation Fellows program, a key initiative of the Epicenter and joint-venture between Stanford University and VentureWell (formerly NCIIA). She plays a strong supporting role in training students to be change-agents on campus by encouraging students to take ownership over their learning and their peers future education.
Katie is a University Innovation Fellow alum. She helped develop Saluki Ventures, a student incubator at SIU Carbondale; The Program helped her view SIU Carbondale’s campus as an ecosystem and spread the idea of entrepreneurship to all disciplines. Katie is an advocate for the entrepreneurial mindset and continues to pursue this passion by expanding the national student movement through the University Innovation Fellows program. Laurie Moore, Word Maverick
(aka Communications Specialist, Epicenter/Stanford University)
As Epicenter’s communications specialist, Laurie manages the Epicenter website and its content, social media accounts, media relations, and email campaigns, and tells the stories of engineering faculty and students who exemplify the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit that defines the center. For the University Innovation Fellows program, she provides writing, graphics, website and media support.
Laurie has worked for eight years as a writer and editor for web and print, with experience in website management and graphic design. Before joining Epicenter, she worked for the University of Southern California as the web editor for the USC Dornsife College.
